About the Role

Under direct supervision of a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician B repairs and maintains diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, vehicle refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulics, electrical, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering. The role also involves basic tire work such as replacements, rotations, and tread depth checks while supporting drivers on a single fleet of advanced vehicles. Key responsibilities include performing preventative and repair maintenance on chassis, refuse bodies, engines, suspension, drivetrain, steering, and HVAC systems, as well as line‑maintenance welding and fabrication. The technician must safely provide road service when needed, diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools, complete company training programs, and handle any additional job‑related duties assigned. • Tackle new challenges daily • Repair highly intricate and powerful machinery • Work regular shifts in a stable industry • Serve the community and customers

What You Bring

Qualifications require a basic understanding of work‑order labor standards, experience with light to heavy‑duty trucks (Classes 1‑8) or similar equipment, and a valid driver’s license. ASE certifications and a commercial driver’s license are advantageous but not mandatory. A minimum of one year of relevant experience or imminent graduation from an accredited automotive program is required.
