About the Role

The operator sets up and runs wire winders to create spiral wraps over Teflon® tubing and configures braiders for PTFE and larger‑diameter hose. They load carriers, pull wire, string dies to specifications, feed mandrels, and operate tape machines according to work orders and set‑up sheets. Daily production tasks include performing quality checks on braided hose (pick counts, outer diameter, wire count, score lines), conducting proof tests on finished and built hose, and operating overhead cranes, hoists, and ovens for material handling and baking. The operator records process data, completes ERP transactions, and ensures timely, cost‑effective production while maintaining equipment through routine maintenance such as tension and roller checks. Safety and continuous‑improvement responsibilities involve maintaining a clean work area using 5S and TPM practices, following plant, environmental and regulatory guidelines, and participating in team meetings, problem‑solving and lean initiatives. The operator reports hazards, assists in risk assessments, and takes part in health‑ and safety‑training programs. • Set up and operate wire winders for spiral‑wrapped Teflon® tubing. • Configure and run braiders for PTFE and large‑diameter hose. • Load carriers, pull wire, and string dies per specifications. • Perform quality inspections (pick counts, OD, wire count, score lines). • Conduct proof testing on finished and built hose using inline tester. • Operate overhead crane, hoist, and oven for material movement and baking. • Perform daily maintenance on wire winders (tension, rollers, break pads). • Record process data and complete ERP transactions (labor, scrap, inventory). • Follow 5S, TPM, and plant safety/environmental regulations. • Participate in team meetings, continuous‑improvement and lean activities. • Identify and correct hazards; assist in risk assessments and investigations. • Maintain safe, clean, and orderly work environment.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math, strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to lift 30 lb unaided. Candidates must be U.S. persons under ITAR, legally authorized to work without sponsorship, and have at least one year of experience with hand/power tools, ERP transactions, and aerospace manufacturing. • Meet ITAR eligibility and U.S. work authorization requirements. • Possess high school diploma, basic math, and strong communication skills. • Have ≥1 year experience with hand/power tools, ERP systems, and aerospace manufacturing.
