About the Role
In this executive role, the Director will provide strategic leadership for proposal development and marketing activities, ensuring that complex proposals are delivered on time, are compliant, and compelling. Responsibilities include guiding the creation of marketing materials, managing proposal calendars and databases, conducting client debriefings, and leading award applications, case studies, and event logistics. The position also involves market research, competitive analysis, and cultivating new lead sources and strategic partnerships. • Lead and produce complex energy conservation and renewable energy proposals, ensuring deadlines, compliance, and compelling content. • Direct development and maintenance of CRM, resume, and image databases to streamline proposal preparation and reporting. • Create marketing materials and executive presentations for client interviews and high‑level engagements. • Conduct client debriefings, capture lessons learned, and continuously improve proposal processes and outcomes. • Manage award applications, case studies, onsite event logistics, and letters of recommendation. • Perform market research and competitive analysis to inform pursuit strategies. • Identify new proposal leads and cultivate strategic partnership opportunities. • Oversee proposal calendar and database tracking to ensure visibility and accountability across teams. • Mentor and develop a high‑performing proposal and marketing team, fostering innovation and operational excellence.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience in proposal management, marketing strategy, or business development within engineering, construction, or energy sectors, including five or more years in a senior leadership capacity. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, sustainability or a related field, strong proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, Office 365, Salesforce, and Adobe Creative Suite, and graphic design capabilities. Excellent technical writing, organizational, and communication skills, along with a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel, are required. • Require at least 10 years of experience in proposal management, marketing strategy, or business development in engineering, construction, or energy sectors, with 5+ years in senior leadership. • Prefer a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, sustainability, or related field, or equivalent experience. • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Office 365, Salesforce, and Adobe Creative Suite; graphic design skills a plus. • Demonstrate superior technical writing, deep knowledge of RFQ/RFP processes, and strong communication with executive presence. • Highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. • Maintain a valid driver’s license and be prepared for occasional travel.

Benefits
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $161,000–$233,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that may include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity. Compensation varies by location and other factors, and the position may be remote or require travel. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
