About the Role
The temporary Creel/Fisheries Clerk role runs from February 23, 2026 to July 31, 2026, supporting angler interviews along the Delaware River in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York. The clerk will gather data on effort, catch, and harvest to aid state management of American Shad and Striped Bass, and will also help identify, count, and measure harvested fish in the field. Work includes weekdays, weekends, and required holidays such as Memorial Day, Juneteenth, and July 4th. • Collect consistent field data from fishermen following SOPs • Coordinate staffing and schedules with project management

What You Bring
• Operate vehicles and maintain a valid driver’s license • Use tablet or mobile phone for data collection • Hold an associate degree in biology or related field, or equivalent experience • One year of experience in data collection or public engagement • Knowledge of ichthyology or personal fishing experience • Experience with GIS or mapping software (preferred) • Local residency in specified Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or New York counties • High school diploma or equivalent • Proficiency with Microsoft Office • General relevant background experience
