Job Highlights
About the Role
The regular schedule runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional Saturdays and required overtime when necessary. You will work primarily in a repair and maintenance shop at WM’s Sioux Falls, SD hauling site, ensuring predictable hours for work‑life balance. Each day you will service trucks and equipment that support over 20 million customers across the United States, using modern tools and procedures on diesel and, at some locations, CNG vehicles. The role emphasizes safety, precision, and reliability, with a focus on delivering high‑quality maintenance in a clean and compliant work environment. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel and CNG trucks • Estimate time and material costs; work within Standard Labor Repair Times • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls • Perform safety checks and complete paperwork for parts and labor • Assist senior mechanics and address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report repairs • Maintain a clean, safe work area complying with OSHA and corporate standards

What You Bring
• Minimum 4 years relevant diesel‑mechanic experience • Valid driver’s license with clean record; 18+ and eligible to work in the U.S. • Ability to meet physical demands (lifting, standing, climbing) with or without accommodations • Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination • Team‑player mindset, comfortable working independently or collaboratively • Enjoy variety, solve problems, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment
