About the Role
In this role you will provide technical GIS services, including application administration, configuration, maintenance, and spatial analysis using enterprise GIS technologies. You will uphold safety compliance, act with honesty and ethical standards, and ensure all duties meet regulatory obligations. • Deliver GIS technical services including data construction, application configuration, database management, analysis, and project implementation. • Design and manage GIS, CAD, and spatial data projects covering database design, workflow, metadata, and automation. • Conduct needs assessments, design applications, provide documentation, user support, and training for GIS tools. • Maintain and enhance GIS business systems and applications. • Translate client needs into practical GIS solutions and write requirement specifications for contracts. • Integrate GIS functionality into existing business systems and configure new system software. • Perform advanced spatial, geo‑statistical, network, 3D, and business analyses. • Administer enterprise GIS data sets, ensure accuracy, mapping standards, and manage land‑base and parcel updates. • Develop and implement data maintenance and publication procedures; coordinate data access with users and IT. • Collaborate with IT to design, develop, test, and monitor GIS programs; troubleshoot software issues and work with vendors. • Provide exceptional customer service, measure satisfaction, and foster relationships with GIS staff. • Train and support staff on GIS, CAD, GPS tools, large‑format printers and scanners; create training materials. • Prepare reports, deliver presentations, and support storm‑related updates to the Electric Office. • Perform occasional off‑hour work including evenings and weekends and other assigned duties.

What You Bring
• Associate’s degree in geospatial systems or related field (or GIS certification) with at least 2 years GIS experience. • Minimum 3 years utility or related business experience and working knowledge of electrical engineering designs and distribution system configurations. • Programming experience in Magik, AutoLISP, XML, or .NET and strong integration knowledge with other information systems. • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, computer science, business, or related field (desired). • Experience with ESRI software, MicroStation, AutoDesk, GPS equipment, server and data transformation technologies. • Familiarity with GE EO, GE Power On, and electric utility OMS (desired).
