About the Role

• Serve as a client‑facing Cost Consultant providing strategic, tactical and technical advice. • Interface with clients, external and internal consultants at all project stages. • Conduct feasibility studies and produce procurement reports. • Produce ROMs for new and pipeline projects to establish project budgets. • Manage day‑to‑day cost of medium‑large scale client projects, including procurement, pay requests, change management and cost reporting. • Apply value‑management techniques at project outset using existing protocols and systems. • Oversee the procurement process through pre‑qualification, enquiry, evaluation, selection and contract preparation. • Ensure post‑contract cost variances, change control, cost checking and valuation processes are managed effectively. • Produce and present monthly post‑contract and cost reports to the client. • Provide value engineering and life‑cycle costing. • Update benchmarking efforts with new project data to deliver real cost information to the client. • Support cost management on large‑scale construction projects of medium to high complexity.

What You Bring

Mace North America is looking for a talented Cost Consultant to support Life Science and industrial manufacturing projects. In this pivotal role you will work directly with clients on iconic, major capital projects, providing cost expertise throughout the project lifecycle. • Hold a degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying or a related field (MS, MBA preferred). • Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills with the ability to deliver actionable insights. • Bring at least 5 + years of cost management experience in the construction industry. • Have experience in the Pharma/Life Science sector or similar manufacturing environments. • Proficiency with Oracle Unifier or other project‑management systems.
