About the Role
The Assembly Technician assembles, wires, and modifies components according to detailed guidelines for medium‑ and high‑voltage indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, power modules, and related sub‑assemblies. Work is driven by manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, and supervisor instructions. The role supports customer service orders and development projects. • Follow manufacturing information, electrical & mechanical drawings, sketches, and supervisor instructions. • Complete ISO, quality, customer, and production checklists and feedback forms. • Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wiring operations. • Lift and assemble heavy copper parts regularly. • Report Kanban inventory shortages to appropriate operators. • Inspect assemblies for missing hardware and cleanliness. • Respond to change notices, customer adjustments, and development needs. • Assist engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer‑initiated development work. • Train and coach colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.

What You Bring
Basic qualifications include a high‑school diploma or GED, proficiency with hand and air tools, and the ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship. No relocation assistance is provided, and candidates must reside within 50 miles of Greenwood, SC, except for active‑duty military personnel. Preferred qualifications are at least one year of industrial manufacturing experience and a South Carolina Manufacturing Certification or equivalent. Candidates must meet all legal employment eligibility requirements. The position requires strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem‑solving skills. Employees must collaborate effectively within teams and be willing to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. Proficiency with various hand and power tools, step ladders, cranes, and Lean‑environment quality verification is essential. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Outlook/Teams and ENOVIA are also required. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, reaching above shoulder level, gripping, and frequent lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, with occasional pushes or pulls exceeding that weight. Vision requirements involve both far and close focus with depth perception and color discrimination. The work environment regularly exposes employees to noise and dust. Regular listening and speaking are also required.
