About the Role

The Operations Supervisor – Hauling Operations leads collections activities across commercial, residential, roll‑off, and container services in a geographically dispersed area. This role supervises drivers and helpers, partners with the Operations Manager and General Manager to execute tactical initiatives, and ensures adherence to safety, environmental, regulatory, accounting, and ethical standards. Safety leadership includes setting and communicating safety goals, removing unsafe conditions on routes, and collaborating with sales and maintenance to ensure equipment compliance. The supervisor oversees accident prevention programs, fosters a culture of safety, and engages employees in active participation to reduce incidents. Customer experience responsibilities involve delivering service that meets or exceeds expectations, managing missed pickup goals, and resolving unusual service requests, equipment breakdowns, and schedule changes with timely communication. The supervisor interacts with customers to rectify issues and acts as a positive company representative to drive satisfaction and loyalty. Efficiency duties include establishing productivity goals, managing labor hours and disposal expenses, and leading drivers to exceed performance targets. The role creates, modifies, and optimizes routes to maximize density, reduces route hours through service conversions and container upsizing, and supports fleet maintenance to achieve budgeted goals.

What You Bring

Qualifications require the ability to direct large staff, a process‑ and results‑oriented mindset, strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, and a collaborative, creative approach. Candidates must demonstrate ethical behavior, strong leadership, at least one year of supervisory experience, and experience supervising large container and residential drivers.
