About the Role
In this role you will lead mechanical engineering for natural‑gas and coal‑fired power generation projects, design air‑quality control and effluent‑limitation systems, and handle comprehensive piping, plumbing, and equipment design while mentoring junior staff and maintaining client and partner communication. • Prepare cost estimates, work plans, and schedules while applying independent engineering judgment. • Guide, provide technical direction, and mentor junior team members. • Communicate regularly and coordinate with clients and external partners. • Lead mechanical engineering for natural gas and coal‑fired power projects. • Design and support air‑quality control and effluent‑limitation systems. • Perform piping system design, including pipe/valve selection, material choice, routing, and support design. • Develop and review P&IDs for accurate system representation. • Conduct equipment condition assessments and lifecycle cost analyses. • Design plumbing systems for sanitary and potable water applications. • Engineer pumping and piping systems for fluids and gases such as blowers, steam, and compressed air. • Select and size tanks and vessels to meet project requirements. • Specify and coordinate instrumentation for pumps, tanks, and vessels. • Collaborate closely with industry professionals, jurisdictions, and contractors.
