About the Role

Mortenson is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices. The role encompasses the end‑to‑end accounts payable workflow, including invoice handling, payment processing, and support for month‑end activities, while collaborating with internal teams. • Process invoices, route them for coding and approval, and ensure timely payment. • Distribute department mail and maintain scanner equipment. • Research and resolve past‑due balances or invoice disputes. • Assist with data loads, weekly sales tax field reporting, and month‑end close tasks such as supplier statement review and unaccounted activity resolution. • Provide daily queue metrics to the Accounts Payable Supervisor and escalate issues requiring second‑level support. • Participate in department projects and company initiatives as assigned. • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and deliver professional customer service.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma or GED, with higher education in accounting or finance considered advantageous, and demonstrate strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑changing environment. • Utilize Kofax, Oracle, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Office Suite (preferred). • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance a plus. • Prior accounts payable or construction accounting experience preferred. • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication, detail‑orientation, and ability to work independently in a deadline‑driven environment.
