About the Role

In this role you will ensure compliance and efficiency for complex permitting processes, helping projects move forward in a fast‑paced, high‑impact environment. You will be the driving force behind successful permit applications, managing each step from start to finish, meeting regulatory deadlines, and keeping stakeholders informed. By coordinating across teams and agencies you will contribute to solutions that protect ecosystems, maintain safety, and support sustainable energy infrastructure. • Lead and manage vegetation management permit applications, ensuring compliance with environmental and utility regulations. • Monitor and report permit progress to internal teams and client stakeholders. • Coordinate data collection and verification with project managers and field crews. • Build and sustain relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate timely permits. • Stay informed on regulatory updates and incorporate changes into program planning. • Participate actively in team meetings and share knowledge across the group.

We are looking for a detail‑oriented professional to advance their career in environmental permitting as a Consulting Senior Associate, Scientist, Permit Coordinator based in Northern California. • Hold an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). • Possess 1–3 years of experience supporting environmental or utility permitting. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of federal and state health & safety regulations and contractor safety management. • Exhibit exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple permits under tight deadlines. • Communicate professionally in writing and verbally with clients and agencies. • Proficient in Excel and eager to learn new permitting software. • Preferred: experience with railroad easement permitting, safety program development, and programmatic planning or regulatory research.

Benefits
• Expected annual base salary $61,299–$75,562, with potential bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, parental leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and retirement plans.
