About the Role
The HR Business Partner acts as a consultant to management, focusing on business growth, workforce strategy, talent initiatives, organizational effectiveness, change management, and leadership development. By assessing and anticipating HR needs, the partner proactively communicates with the HR department and business managers to deliver integrated solutions and maintains a deep understanding of the unit’s financial position, plans, culture, and competitive landscape. • Develop talent strategies and forecast resource needs with leaders. • Design and lead HR programs supporting renewables market goals. • Advise senior management on workforce planning, culture, and process improvements. • Manage performance appraisal system to drive high performance. • Provide HR metrics and decision support to management. • Offer guidance on employee relations, policy interpretation, and disciplinary actions. • Lead change initiatives, partnering with leaders on planning and communication. • Collaborate with Total Rewards on promotions and pay equity. • Support preconstruction and project management teams with HR information and compliance. • Review contracts for legal compliance and coordinate recruitment plans post‑award. • Promote talent acquisition and employee development. • Ensure adherence to labor relations policies and union guidelines. • Maintain HR and industry knowledge for efficiency and regulatory compliance. • Coach managers on HR policies, compensation, benefits, and disciplinary processes.

What You Bring
The role may require travel to job sites where exposure to hazards, extreme temperatures, dust, noise and other conditions is possible, and employees are expected to follow basic safety precautions and support MasTec’s Zero Injury principles. Compliance with federal, state and local regulations, as well as labor‑relation policies and union guidelines, is a core responsibility. Candidates must hold an associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field and have three to five years of relevant experience.
