About the Role
The Equipment Commissioning Manager (EqCM) supports the Equipment North America organization on startup, warranty, and service coordination. Reporting to the Regional Service Manager for the first six months and then to the Branch Service Manager, the EqCM is accountable to the HVAC Equipment Operations Manager and works closely with the Customer Resource Coordinator to meet contract and customer expectations. • Support EqNA sales during project estimates by determining if service can be performed as an S/R or requires a Service Mechanical project based on duration, size, complexity, and management needs. • Provide custom quotes for service items outside the PCAT (Program, Commission, Adjust, Train) policy. • Verify branch technicians are trained for secured contracts and coordinate training with the Truck Based Service Manager as needed. • Attend RTO meetings on complex projects or those with Planned Service Agreements (PSA) and identify service/warranty scope concerns. • Validate PSA details with the SAE/Agent Project Owner and supply required documentation. • Conduct weekly service turnover meetings with SAEs and the Branch Operations Manager to monitor current and future service scopes and report status to the EqNA Operations Team. • Introduce Connected Service capabilities to customers. • Coordinate directly with the EqNA customer for all scheduled work and schedule changes. • Ensure asset records are created in NxGen and assigned to the correct site for future service requests and quotes. • Manage FOB Destination deliveries with CRC and technicians and communicate updates to the SAE and customer. • Verify warranty information in Warranty Navigator and resolve discrepancies with the SAE and Warranty Admin team. • Monitor Long‑Term Storage (LTS) requirements and coordinate with the SAE and customer. • Promote use of Pronto Forms by customers for pre‑startup checklists and by technicians for startup, inspections, and warranty work. • Ensure startup is completed, resolve any issues, and provide customers with startup documentation. • Enter startup dates in NxGen and register serviced equipment in Warranty Navigator, providing warranty certification to the EqNA customer. • Work with CRCs to ensure prompt invoicing of service requests upon scope completion. • Act as first point of contact for warranty requests, dispatch technicians promptly, and file claims with the Warranty Service Coordinator. • Escalate and resolve issues preventing warranty work completion, including parts and resource availability, and coordinate with technical support to accelerate cash collections. • Facilitate technical support for EqNA customers as needed.

What You Bring
• 10+ years of industry experience or a technical engineering or construction degree. • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Writer, and basic Windows operating system. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities. • Effective conflict resolution skills. • Capability to represent Johnson Controls positively and communicate across varying technical levels. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously with professionalism and persistence. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • BA degree in Engineering or Construction (preferred). • Knowledge of HVAC equipment (preferred). • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite (preferred).
