About the Role
Throughout the apprenticeship, participants will gain hands‑on experience by assisting with troubleshooting and repairing building systems such as plumbing, kitchen equipment, HVAC, roofing, and related machinery. Responsibilities include cleaning, lubricating, and servicing pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and electrical/mechanical devices, supporting equipment installations, performing basic finish repairs, and responding to emergency service requests. Apprentices will also inspect facilities for safety hazards, support fire‑life‑safety systems, perform general carpentry and seasonal tasks, and utilize modern technologies like smartphones, tablets, and building‑automation web applications while adhering to safety codes and professional standards. • Use basic hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance technology • Apply basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) for work orders and reporting • Assist in troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, kitchen, HVAC, roofing, and equipment • Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic and electrical/mechanical devices • Support installation and modification of building equipment and systems • Perform basic finish repairs: ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, painting, and flooring • Identify and recommend improvements to maintenance operations • Respond promptly to emergency situations and facility service requests • Inspect buildings and grounds for safety hazards and preventative maintenance needs • Support fire and life‑safety systems, including alarms, pumps, and protection equipment • Conduct general carpentry tasks and seasonal duties such as snow removal • Utilize smartphones, tablets, and building‑automation web applications for work tracking • Follow company safety practices, codes, and professional appearance standards

What You Bring
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking Apprentice Engineers to join its facilities team. Apprentices will receive structured training and mentorship across a range of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, plumbing, and general carpentry. The program also covers the use of basic tools, diagnostic equipment, and essential computer applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word, as well as safe vehicle operation with a valid driver’s license. • Maintain a valid driver’s license and operate vehicles safely
