About the Role
The Program Manager, Talent Management leads the design, development, implementation, and upkeep of WM’s talent management initiatives, including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, career pathing, and coaching assessments. The role conducts needs analysis, evaluates programs, and researches current trends to recommend enhancements that boost employee capabilities and organizational productivity. In this position, the manager maintains existing programs, creates resources and training, and supports HR Business Partners. They use diverse communication channels to build understanding of talent processes, collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure alignment with other projects, and link talent activities to employee and leadership development experiences. Key responsibilities include consulting with HR and business leaders to develop short‑ and long‑term talent strategies, proposing new initiatives, managing project plans, scoping, resource allocation, calendars, and metrics, and partnering with the HR Technology team and external vendors while staying within budget. • Design, develop, implement, and maintain talent management programs such as performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, career pathing, and coaching assessments. • Conduct needs analysis, program evaluation, and research on talent management trends to recommend improvements. • Manage project plans, scoping, resource allocation, calendars, and metrics for talent initiatives. • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, functional leaders, and cross‑functional teams to align talent strategies with organizational goals. • Communicate program details through various channels to build manager and employee capability. • Partner with HR Technology and third‑party vendors to optimize tools and services while adhering to budget constraints. • Prepare performance reports, analyze talent data, and provide insights to senior leaders.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or a high‑school diploma with two years of relevant experience) and possess 5–8 years of talent‑management, learning, or organization‑development experience, including hands‑on work with talent reviews, succession planning, performance management, career pathing, and competencies. Project‑management experience for organization‑wide talent programs is required, and familiarity with Oracle HCM is preferred. Strong knowledge of talent‑management best practices, data‑driven metrics, change‑management, human‑centered design, and excellent influencing and communication skills are essential. • Minimum 5–8 years experience in talent management, learning, or organization development, including talent review, succession planning, performance management, career pathing, and competencies. • Proven project‑management experience for organization‑wide talent programs. • Preferred experience with Oracle HCM. • Strong knowledge of leading talent‑management approaches, data‑driven metrics, change‑management, and human‑centered design. • Excellent influencing, presentation, and communication skills.
