About the Role
In the Material Handler position you will receive and issue raw materials, assemblies, sub‑assemblies, tools, and supplies, forward all necessary paperwork to computer services for data entry, assist planners and buyers on material availability processes, and box, pack, and ship finished product and raw materials as appropriate. You will use a variety of material handling equipment and hand tools to unload and load items in the back‑room area, place material in the proper bin locations, and deliver material to work centers. You will proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and complete root‑cause analysis in response to quality or production issues. You will be responsible for quality, including visual inspections of material before shipping, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors. You will cross‑train, stand in for other employees when necessary, use supply‑chain tracking systems to maintain inventory, operate a forklift to move material, and fulfill job carts. • Receive, issue, box, pack, and ship raw materials and finished products. • Forward paperwork to computer services for data entry. • Assist planners and buyers with material availability. • Operate forklifts and various material‑handling equipment. • Perform 5S duties and follow PPE and safety policies. • Conduct visual inspections, identify nonconforming parts, and troubleshoot quality issues. • Identify process improvement opportunities and conduct root‑cause analysis. • Use supply‑chain tracking systems to maintain inventory and fulfill job carts. • Cross‑train and cover for other team members as needed.

What You Bring
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification, the ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship, and knowledge of AS400 applications; candidates must reside within a 50‑mile radius of Greenwood, SC unless they are active‑duty military. Position criteria emphasize strong verbal and written communication, persuasive and analytical problem‑solving skills, teamwork, willingness to work flexible hours and overtime, and the use of hand tools to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment. • Must have high school diploma/GED and forklift certification. • Must be able to work in the US without corporate sponsorship. • Candidates must reside within 50 mi of Greenwood, SC (active‑duty military exempt). • Knowledge of AS400 system. • Strong verbal/written communication, persuasive and analytical problem‑solving skills. • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime in a Lean environment.
