About the Role

Key duties include reading and interpreting load charts, interpreting hand signals to place materials, performing minor maintenance and cleaning of tools, conducting daily equipment inspections (checking fluids, refueling, assessing wear), reporting malfunctioning equipment, preparing and leveling surfaces to specifications, and assisting other craft workers as needed. • Read and interpret load charts • Interpret hand signals to determine material placement • Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment • Conduct daily equipment inspections, including fluid checks, refueling, and wear assessment • Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors • Prepare, fine‑tune, and level surfaces to specifications • Assist other craft workers as needed

What You Bring

The Dirt and Finish Operator must be certified and capable of operating equipment such as a track hoe, rubber tire backhoe, front‑end loader, road grader/maintainer, bulldozer, hoe ram, and ross carrier. The role requires learning all safety hazards and safely using work‑related tools and equipment, and it may be performed in a plant operations or construction jobsite setting. Mental requirements include effective communication with management and supervision, reading and writing comprehension for directions and safety policies, the ability to work at varying tempos while concentrating amid distractions, strong decision‑making skills, and a detail‑oriented mindset for observing and remembering specifics.
