Specialist - Forwarding Finance - Global Service Centre

About the Role

The Specialist – GL Forwarding Finance role at the GSC in Navi Mumbai reports to the GSC Finance Manager and is responsible for daily, weekly and monthly general‑ledger activities, ensuring smooth month‑end closing, analysis and financial reporting. The position requires strong technical expertise, analytical rigour and the ability to work across multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting. • Ensure no discrepancies in trial balance reporting on WD2. • Reconcile and resolve discrepancies between CR2 and ERP. • Perform timely reconciliations of balance‑sheet items and GL close. • Address financial controllers' queries on cost and revenue accruals (GP margins). • Review, reconcile and prepare analysis for GL accounts. • Coordinate with auditors to complete audits and resolve audit queries. • Assist with monthly reconciliations and month‑end close processes. • Maintain timely balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve actionable items. • Oversee month‑end processes, including AP/AR control account reconciliations. • Drive automation and process improvement to standardise procedures across zones. • Support creation of monthly and weekly zone performance reports.

What You Bring

• Experience with major ERPs such as SAP or Oracle. • 4–7 years of experience managing global AP/AR operations. • Strong understanding of accounting principles, transfer pricing and intercompany processes. • Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. • Educational qualification: B.Com, M.Com or MBA in Finance.
