About the Role

• Investigate and reconcile inventory shortages and discrepancies. • Conduct physical stockroom inventories. • Work with the IT Service Desk and Desktop Support teams to ensure their stockrooms have adequate inventory. • Manage hardware and consumable assets in ServiceNow stockrooms. • Assist in the inventory and management of the IT vending machine. • Collaborate with the Property Management team to locate tagged equipment, update inventory records and reconcile discrepancies between asset management systems. • Move inventory between stockrooms and locations. • Monitor IT Asset Management queue and provide updates to requesters, as appropriate. • Identify and fulfill “Tier 1” requests/tasks.

What You Bring

• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM and HAM/ITAM functionality • Knowledge of and familiarity with major hardware OEMs, vendors and model. • Must be able to obtain NLR site security access. • Ability to manage projects in parallel with daily tasks. • Ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency and accuracy, in a fast-paced team environment. • This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance from the Department of Energy. If determined as such, this position would be identified as a Workplace Substance Abuse Program (WSAP) testing designated position. WSAP positions require participation in an ongoing random drug testing program in addition to the pre-employment drug screen. • Customer service experience and commitment to customer service and support. • 1 year Hardware Asset and Inventory Management experience. • Initiative to anticipate issues and provide insight into solutions. • Ability to effectively work in a hybrid collaborative team environment. • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications. • Strong communication skills, written and verbal. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Analytical and problem-solving skills. • Queue Management. • Pre-employment Drug Screen • External applicants selected for this position are required to successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug test. • Medical Exam(s) • Job related pre-placement medical examinations may be required for this position.
