About the Role
The Rodman transports and sets up surveying instruments and equipment, preparing the job site for land surveys. This role requires learning and understanding all safety hazards related to the work and safely operating various tools and equipment. Work occurs in plant operations or construction jobsite settings. • Clear any trees, brush, etc. from survey line • Lay out stakes to prepare for elevation measurements • Assist surveyor in determining elevations • Assist other craft workers as needed

What You Bring
Physical requirements include the ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lb regularly and up to 100 lb occasionally, with repetitive use of hands, arms, and legs. The employee must have good hand‑eye coordination, be able to climb and maintain balance on steel or wood frameworks, ladders, and scaffolds, and operate hand and power tools. Work may involve prolonged bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, and walking on uneven or muddy surfaces, as well as exposure to adverse weather and confined spaces. Mental qualifications involve effective communication with management and supervision, as well as reading and writing comprehension for directions and safety policies. The role requires the ability to perform calculations, work at various tempos, concentrate amid distractions, make decisions, and maintain a detail‑oriented approach.
