Field Service Representative Intern
Assist field service for power equipment, travel Quebec, support installations and troubleshooting

About the Role
In this role you will support field activities such as troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, installing, testing, commissioning, and starting up both existing and new power equipment. You will collaborate with sales, marketing, and engineering teams, maintain equipment records in the maintenance software, and contribute to technical reviews and administrative tasks while following scheduling and safety procedures. • Assist service work at customer sites while ensuring safety, schedule, and budget compliance. • Perform field tasks including troubleshooting, repair, assembly, installation, testing, commissioning, and start‑up of power equipment. • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and engineering departments to provide field service support. • Maintain equipment databases using the company's maintenance software. • Review and comment on technical specifications before work commences. • Execute department administrative duties and follow scheduling procedures. • Attend technical training and produce technical reports after site work. • Apply analytical skills to resolve technical issues.

What You Bring
The internship offers a hands‑on introduction to power equipment services, allowing you to travel across Quebec and work under a variety of conditions. Candidates must be prepared to work outdoors, adhere to health and safety regulations, and hold a valid Canadian driver’s license that meets Quebec government and ABB fleet standards. The ideal applicant is currently pursuing or has recently completed a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, possesses basic knowledge of electric power equipment, and demonstrates strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. A willingness to travel, a clean driving record, bilingual communication skills in French and English, and a team‑oriented attitude are also required. • Pursue or hold a degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field. • Demonstrate basic knowledge of electric power equipment and strong problem‑solving abilities. • Possess a valid Canadian driver’s license with a clean record and willingness to travel across Quebec. • Communicate effectively in both French and English and work well within a team.
