About the Role

Step into a strategic, high‑impact role as a Consultant, Transactions within ERM’s M&A Infrastructure Service Line, with location flexibility in the US or Canada. Your technical expertise will shape some of the world’s most influential infrastructure investments, partnering with industry‑leading ERM Partners and advising top financial institutions on multi‑billion‑dollar decisions across global energy and infrastructure markets. In this role you will shape investment strategies by evaluating the technical, operational, and business‑plan performance of infrastructure assets, lead proposal delivery—including scopes, schedules, and commercial terms—and coordinate key milestones such as Q&A submissions, management sessions, and final report delivery. Collaboration across multidisciplinary technical communities and subject‑matter experts will ensure the strongest insights for clients while you also contribute to internal tools and best‑practice development for the service line. • Lead proposal development, including company profiles, scopes of work, schedules, and commercial terms. • Perform technical, operational, and business‑plan due diligence for infrastructure investments. • Coordinate project deliverables such as Q&A submissions, management sessions, client meetings, and final reports. • Collaborate with ERM technical communities and external subject‑matter experts to deliver client insights. • Contribute to internal tools, processes, and best‑practice development for the Infrastructure Service Line. • Provide advanced report writing and client‑facing presentation skills.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a solid engineering background (e.g., civil, chemical, mechanical, electrical) or equivalent experience, with 2–3 years in technical consulting, engineering, or operations within the energy or infrastructure sectors. You must demonstrate strong technical capability to identify risks and opportunities, excellent organizational and self‑motivation skills, a commitment to quality, and advanced report‑writing and presentation abilities in client‑facing settings. Preferred qualifications include experience managing external client projects, leading complex multi‑workstream deliveries, exposure to technical due diligence or corporate finance, and familiarity with Capex/Opex expectations, decarbonization strategies, and EPC contract reviews. The role requires willingness to travel domestically and internationally for site visits and does not provide immigration sponsorship. • Hold an engineering degree (civil, chemical, mechanical, electrical) or equivalent experience. • Possess 2–3 years of technical consulting, engineering, or operational experience in energy or infrastructure. • Demonstrate strong ability to assess technical documentation, site visits, and operational performance. • Exhibit excellent organization, self‑motivation, and ability to thrive in fast‑turnaround environments. • Experience managing external client projects and coordinating multiple workstreams (preferred). • Familiarity with technical due diligence, corporate finance, Capex/Opex expectations, and decarbonization technologies (preferred). • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for site visits.

Benefits

Compensation includes a base salary of $83,630–$91,421 USD, with potential bonus eligibility, and a comprehensive benefits package covering paid time off, parental leave, health, dental, vision, life, disability, AD&D insurance, and 401(k)/RRSP contributions.
