About the Role
The Operations Supervisor – Hauling Operations leads collections activities across commercial, residential, roll-off, and container services within a geographically dispersed area. Reporting to the Operations Manager and General Manager, this role oversees drivers and helpers, implements tactical initiatives, and ensures budget targets and safety standards are met. Key responsibilities include driving safety initiatives, eliminating unsafe conditions on routes, partnering with maintenance to keep equipment compliant, and fostering a culture of safety. The supervisor also ensures superior customer experience by meeting pickup goals, resolving service issues, and representing the company positively. Efficiency duties involve setting productivity targets, optimizing routes, managing labor and disposal costs, and supporting fleet maintenance. Additionally, the role creates a collaborative environment, develops team talent, and promotes employee engagement.
