What You Bring

We are seeking an experienced Signalling Discipline Manager to lead a team of engineers delivering project services. The role includes overseeing staff assignments, recruitment, training and performance management, while coordinating with systems engineering, manufacturing, configuration control, safety assurance and support functions. The manager will ensure effective processes meet business objectives and regulatory standards, manage engineering administration, review technical work and act as the authority for a significant engineering discipline. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or electronics engineering (or equivalent) and be registered on the National Engineering Register with membership of a relevant professional body such as Engineers Australia. A minimum of 15 years of professional experience in the signalling rail domain, including system specification, design, modification, installation, commissioning and testing, is required, together with state‑specific engineering registration where applicable. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or electronics engineering (or equivalent) • Possess at least 15 years of signalling rail experience, covering specification, design, modification, installation, commissioning, and testing • Be registered on the National Engineering Register and hold membership in a relevant professional institution such as Engineers Australia • Demonstrate 10–15 years of signalling design/assurance experience and safety assurance expertise • Experience with interlocking, TMS, ETCS, and signalling interfaces to trackside and onboard systems • Apply knowledge of EN50126/8/9 and other Australian/international standards as a technical authority
