About the Role
As an Electrical Engineer IV you will represent the firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members while providing trade‑specific system design, including CAD/BIM layout, calculations, and coordination with other trades, under the guidance of senior technical staff. Additional duties include managing assigned CAD/BIM staff, estimating construction costs, preparing engineering proposals, overseeing project economics, conducting business development and due‑diligence reports, establishing design standards, budgets and schedules, providing technical leadership on large projects, participating in QA/QC, performing Engineer of Record tasks, and delivering consulting services such as gap analyses and feasibility studies. • Represent Syska Hennessy Group in interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and project team members. • Design trade‑specific electrical systems using CAD/BIM, perform calculations, and coordinate with other disciplines. • Manage assigned CAD/BIM and technical staff on projects. • Estimate construction costs and evaluate feasibility using Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM). • Prepare engineering proposals and oversee project economic wellbeing. • Conduct business development activities and produce due‑diligence, gap analysis, and feasibility reports. • Establish design standards, specifications, project budgets, and schedules. • Provide technical leadership on large projects and participate in QA/QC processes. • Perform Engineer of Record duties, including calculations, equipment selection, system layout, field investigation, and construction administration. • Review staff resources and produce drawings meeting client requirements and standards.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer IV to join our team in Tampa, FL. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, at least seven years of consulting experience, proficiency with Revit and the latest AutoCAD MEP, strong knowledge of applicable codes, preferably SKM software for short‑circuit and arc‑flash studies, and a professional engineer (PE) license. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a PE license. • Minimum 7 years consulting experience with expertise in Revit and latest AutoCAD MEP. • Knowledge of applicable codes; SKM software experience preferred for short‑circuit coordination and arc‑flash studies.
