About the Role

The Reman & Overhaul Technician role invites you to pioneer the next generation of innovation at Rolls‑Royce. You will develop your skills and expertise to the highest levels while working in an international environment for a globally recognized company known for its brilliance. Key accountabilities include assembling and disassembling MTU and other engines, inspecting components for defects, and recommending acceptance or rejection based on specifications. You will operate and test products, analyze test results, position and align components, and create new processes, fixturing, and tooling as needed. Additional duties involve reading blueprints, verifying part conformance with precision measuring instruments, operating forklifts, overhead and jib cranes, performing SAP transactions, supporting engineering and quality with deviation requests, operating CNC machinery, maintaining clean work areas, and promoting a culture of safety and compliance. • Assemble, disassemble, and align MTU and other engine components per specifications. • Inspect and evaluate parts for defects; recommend acceptance or rejection. • Perform functional testing and analyze results to determine equipment status. • Read and interpret blueprints and manuals to plan assembly/disassembly operations. • Use precision measuring tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers) to verify part conformity. • Operate forklifts, overhead/jib cranes, and CNC machinery safely. • Execute SAP transactions for tracking and process compliance. • Support engineering and quality teams with deviation requests for out‑of‑scope repairs. • Develop new processes, fixturing, and tooling as operational needs evolve. • Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to safety regulations. • Communicate effectively in oral and written form; produce reports and service letters. • Work flexible shifts and overtime as required.

What You Bring

Basic requirements are a High School Diploma or GED, at least two years of field service, mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience, and the ability to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. Preferred qualifications feature advanced operational ability, skilled use of mechanical and electrical hand tools, measurement and testing equipment, and fluency in technical language and engineering terminology. Candidates should have knowledge of electronics, physics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and the physical properties of fuels, coolants, lubricants, and oils, as well as strong customer service, organizational, analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Physical capabilities include lifting 20‑60 lb, rigging up to 5 tons, and proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office. Experience with MTU engines, large‑engine service, forklift operation, and report writing is also valued. Work conditions involve a durable‑goods manufacturing setting with frequent walking, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lb.
