About the Role
As an equipment operator, you will run one or two machines such as a baler, front‑end loader, bobcat, condensing unit, or forklift to transport and bind paper and other loose materials. You will sort, grade, inspect, and tag material, ensure proper feed onto conveyors, and coordinate with the MRF manager on baling priorities. Routine maintenance, daily inspections, and accurate record‑keeping of inventories and shipments are also required. The role involves both office‑type tasks—using computers, phones, and copy machines—and hands‑on work in a plant/field environment. Physical demands include standing, lifting, operating heavy equipment, and moving containers, bins, and gaylords. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities. • Operate baler, front‑end loader, bobcat, condensing machine, forklift, or similar equipment to transport and bind paper or loose materials. • Sort, grade, inspect, and tag material; ensure proper feed onto conveyors and maintain quality before baling or shipping. • Record receipts, shipments, and inventory; compile worksheets or tickets according to customer specifications. • Start baler, monitor controls, respond to alarms, and document downtime; perform routine equipment maintenance and daily inspections. • Load and unload trailers and railcars, move material to designated areas, and keep work zones clean and safe. • Maintain inventory of baler wire and complete vehicle condition reports in line with corporate guidelines. • Follow all safety policies and procedures; coordinate material flow with the MRF Manager.

What You Bring
• Required: 6 months related experience and forklift certification; Preferred: high school diploma/GED and 1 year experience. • Physical demands include standing, lifting, operating heavy equipment, and working in both office and plant/field settings.

The position works Monday‑Friday nights from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m., with optional Saturday shifts (3:30 p.m.‑12 a.m.) based on season and business needs.
