About the Role

• Plan and execute subsurface investigations (drilling, CPTs, onsite tests) across Northern California. • Review and assess soil and rock samples for laboratory testing. • Supervise construction inspections to ensure compliance with engineering plans and standards. • Perform engineering analyses: slope stability, seepage, settlement, earth retention, liquefaction, and foundation design. • Conduct seismic stability and deformation analyses of dams, including earthquake ground motions and fault‑induced effects. • Utilize software tools such as Excel, gINT, AutoCAD, LPILE, APILE, Shaft, GeoStudio, Settle3D, PLAXIS, FLAC, Revit, Python, and MATLAB for analyses. • Evaluate expected seismic performance of dams, levees, outlet pipes, and probable maximum flood conditions. • Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and recommendations using Microsoft Office. • Review relevant regulations and standards for technical studies, design, and permitting. • Prepare or peer‑review designs, specifications, and construction documents. • Apply QA/QC requirements to own work and the project team, and support business development proposals.

What You Bring

• Minimum: BA/BS with 6+ years of related experience or equivalent education. • Preferred: 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience and a Master’s degree. • California Professional Engineer (PE) license required. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
