About the Role

Job Title: Product Engineer – Water Cooled. The position is located at the Pune Plant and is responsible for leading the technical development of water‑cooled chiller products. The role involves collaborating with the Engineering Manager to define annual objectives, overseeing product development roadmaps, and coordinating resources across projects to bring new products to market in line with Johnson Controls’ processes. • Build and continuously improve the water‑cooled chiller product development technical team. • Define annual work goals with the Engineering Manager and ensure their implementation. • Develop and execute product development plans and roadmaps for water‑cooled chillers. • Lead department activities to innovate and deliver new products according to JCI processes, managing schedules and resources. • Participate in global water‑cooled product development and improvement projects, coordinating timelines and assets. • Conduct technical reviews of non‑standard contracts and detailed designs, delivering required documentation on time. • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, organizing CI, CR, and VAVE initiatives for product optimization. • Provide technical support for manufacturing and service, supplying timely documentation and troubleshooting product issues. • Uphold company ethics, policies, quality standards, and promote corporate culture within the department. • Implement safety, environmental, and health regulations, identifying and mitigating hazards and risks.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold at least a bachelor’s degree and have more than five years of experience in water‑cooled chiller design and development, with strong knowledge of air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems, relevant standards, and excellent communication skills. • Familiar with domestic and international technical standards for related products. • Minimum four years of experience in air‑conditioning and refrigeration system development. • Strong written and oral communication abilities and resource‑leveraging skills.
