About the Role

The Senior Corporate Counsel supports Sundt's legal and business operations by reviewing contracts, providing general legal advice, administering claims, and handling other matters assigned by the Assistant General Counsel. • Review and negotiate contracts, advise on administration and risk management. • Provide business‑focused legal counsel on construction law, compliance, employment, liens, and related matters. • Conduct complex legal research, develop oral and written advice, and present recommendations to management. • Manage dispute strategies and budgets, coordinate with in‑house and outside counsel, and attend depositions, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and hearings. • Evaluate and resolve construction defect and payment disputes with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers. • Collaborate with internal teams to meet legal needs and lead employee training. • Exercise independent judgment within assigned responsibilities. • Utilize AI‑enabled tools responsibly for contract review, summarization, and drafting.

What You Bring

• Hold a JD from an ABA‑approved law school and be licensed to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction (Arizona preferred or obtainable within 6 months). • Possess 5‑8 years of experience as senior corporate counsel with a construction law background. • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to work with minimal oversight. • Travel as needed and proficiently use Microsoft Office Suite. • Physical: occasional stooping, kneeling, bending; frequent lifting, handling objects; regular use of telephone, computer, email; ability to sit, stand, walk for the duration of a shift.
