About the Role

We are seeking a results‑driven, detail‑oriented Senior Buyer to lead the full procurement lifecycle for critical materials and equipment on fast‑paced, high‑value projects. The role combines operational execution with strategic influence, ensuring materials arrive on time, within budget, and to specification while driving supplier performance and mitigating risk. Collaboration with sourcing, planning, logistics, and quality teams is essential to sustain long‑term supply‑chain excellence. • Lead end‑to‑end purchasing for assigned commodities, from requisition through delivery and closeout. • Create, issue, and manage purchase orders, coordinate logistics, and handle lease agreements and returns. • Ensure timely, cost‑effective, quality‑compliant delivery of materials to project sites, monitoring status, risks, and recovery plans. • Track order progress, expedite shipments, and resolve delivery, quality, or pricing issues with suppliers and stakeholders. • Partner with sourcing to execute category strategies, monitor supplier KPIs, and drive performance improvement plans. • Interpret BOMs, technical drawings, and specifications to guide buying decisions and reduce rework. • Analyze purchasing data to optimize inventory, safety stock, lead times, and cost structures. • Implement continuous‑improvement initiatives across purchasing workflows, supplier processes, and system adoption. • Provide training, reporting, and develop procurement metrics to enhance visibility and decision‑making. • Serve as primary supplier contact for price adjustments, lead‑time changes, and availability impacts.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate brings over five years of procurement, planning, or supply‑chain experience, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects, and possesses advanced knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or Oracle. Strong analytical abilities, a strategic mindset, and proficiency in interpreting BOMs and technical drawings are required, along with exceptional communication, negotiation, and Microsoft Office skills. Relevant certifications (APICS, CPIM, CSCP, CPPM) are a plus.
