About the Role

The Director, Project & Development Services leads the project management service line for a designated market, overseeing business development, operations, financial management, client relations, and project execution. Reporting to the PDS Regional Leader and the local Managing Principal, the role shapes and implements strategic objectives for Project & Development Services. In this capacity the Director ensures successful delivery of real‑estate projects, acts as a trusted advisor to clients, and maintains Cushman & Wakefield’s reputation as a thought leader and first‑class service provider. • Interface with internal and external clients to deliver project management services and act as trusted advisor. • Manage full financial responsibilities, including budgets, forecasts, cash‑flow analysis and cost reporting. • Oversee all project phases: due diligence, programming, design, entitlements, bidding, permitting, procurement, team selection, scheduling, contracting, vendor management, sustainability and post‑construction. • Identify and pursue new project or client opportunities to drive business development. • Lead capital‑improvement programs across multiple sites, coordinating design and construction. • Negotiate and manage performance of contracts with vendors and consultants. • Flag and mitigate potential liabilities and risks in collaboration with Market Leader. • Provide on‑site supervision to ensure performance criteria are met. • Apply PDS technology effectively on assigned projects. • Manage PDS staff, enforce policies, develop talent, and motivate the team. • Contribute to strategic direction of the department or practice area.

What You Bring

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, with a master’s and professional certifications preferred, and at least twelve years of relevant experience, including two years of management. Candidates must demonstrate advanced project‑management expertise, strong client‑relationship skills, and proficiency with financial reporting and industry software such as Microsoft Office and MS Project. • Demonstrate competence across diverse, complex project types. • Hold a Bachelor's in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field; Master’s and certifications preferred. • Possess 12+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in management. • Exhibit advanced project‑management expertise. • Expert in client relations and consulting. • Excellent verbal and written communication. • Highly organized with strong analytical abilities. • Proficient in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and scheduling for corporate real‑estate and construction. • Skilled in Microsoft Office and MS Project.

Benefits

Compensation for the role ranges from $127,500 to $150,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, vision, dental, flexible spending, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid time off. Pay is competitive and varies based on location, experience, and applicable collective‑bargaining agreements, with a guarantee of at least minimum wage.
