About the Role

Machinists will operate manual equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses, performing cutting, drilling, turning, and finishing operations on metal components. They must read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions, and use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and surface finishes. All tasks are performed in a safety‑first environment, adhering to PJHA, observation processes, and company safety guidelines. • Operate manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses) without supervision. • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. • Perform cutting, drilling, turning, and finishing operations on metal parts. • Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy. • Adjust machine settings to maintain tolerances and surface finishes. • Follow all safety procedures, including PJHA and observation processes. • Maintain personal tool inventory and keep documentation up to date. • Complete administrative tasks such as time tracking and work order completion. • Work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends, as required.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a high school diploma or GED; an associate degree in Machine Technology is preferred but not required. A minimum of five years of machining experience, strong technical drawing interpretation skills, and proficiency with precision measuring instruments are essential. The role also requires the ability to maintain personal tools, complete administrative duties such as time accounting and work order completion, and communicate effectively with team members. The job demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand or move for extended periods, and work at heights using ladders or step stools. Employees must operate hand and power tools, forklifts, and other machining equipment safely, and may be exposed to loud noise, fumes, heat, cold, and vibration.
