About the Role
As the Lead Product Engineer – Complex Controls you will execute administrative, engineering/technical, supply chain, and sales functions in support of complex switchboard projects/orders for the Satellite Business Unit. This position will serve as a resource for all Satellite locations. • Create control schematics and point‑to‑point wiring diagrams, including standard bills of material, to ensure execution of Satellite Business Unit goals. • Prepare all drawings and manufacturing information (3D drawings/modeling and mechanical drawings as required). • Serve as engineering subject‑matter expert and point of contact for product engineers within the Satellites, acting as a resource for product testing issues. • Train others on engineering software programs such as Bid Manager, Plant Order Manager, and AutoCAD. • Assist with the product engineering role at satellite locations across the business unit as needed. • Maintain good working relationships with customers, distributors, supply chain, Eaton sales personnel, and internal plant personnel to support quality customer service.

What You Bring

Disclosure or background checks are not required until a conditional offer is made. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution. • Minimum two (2) years of product or design engineering experience (including co‑ops and internships) in a manufacturing environment. • Ability to travel up to approximately 50 % of the time. • No sponsorship or immigration support will be provided for this position (e.g., CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, H‑1B, etc.). • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (preferred). • Minimum three (3) years of system controls engineering experience (including co‑ops and internships) in a manufacturing environment (preferred). • Strong product knowledge of panelboards/switchboards. • Strong knowledge of controls engineering. • Knowledge of Eaton applications (Bid Manager, POM, AS400, Mapics). • Experience with AutoCAD or other modeling/drawing software. • Experience with PLC programming. • Ability to coach and develop others.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $93,750.03 • $137,500.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salary guidelines are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market and business considerations.
