Senior Product and Technical Service Technician

About the Role

The technician will follow standard processes to complete daily tasks, including accurate timesheet entry, site clean‑up, and keeping customers informed of progress. Responsibilities cover inspecting and diagnosing air‑conditioning units, estimating labor and materials, repairing or replacing damaged parts, and completing job completion certificates and EH&S surveys. The role involves installation inspection, commissioning, and troubleshooting of VRF systems, as well as recognizing and mitigating safety hazards. When situations exceed the technician’s scope, escalation to a supervisor or manager is required. • Follow standard processes and complete assigned tasks within deadlines while ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair air‑conditioning units, addressing mechanical and electrical malfunctions. • Prepare and submit job completion certificates, job cards, and EH&S site surveys after each job. • Estimate labor hours and material requirements for service and installation tasks. • Perform installation inspection, commissioning, and troubleshooting of VRF systems. • Identify safety hazards, implement appropriate controls, and report issues for escalation. • Maintain clean and organized work sites and keep customers informed of progress and outcomes. • Attend regular EH&S and technical training sessions to stay current on best practices.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a diploma or equivalent in Air‑Conditioning & Refrigeration and have three to five years of experience in the HVAC field, preferably with VRF systems. A valid driver’s licence is an asset, and applicants should be familiar with HVAC maintenance practices, safety procedures, MSDS documentation, and tool management. Strong English communication skills, a customer‑oriented mindset, and basic knowledge of metalwork, electrical, carpentry, and building‑automation controls are required. The role also expects proficiency in preparing inspection and technical reports in line with quality‑management standards. • Apply basic knowledge of metal sheets, electrical work, carpentry, building‑automation controls, and mobile apps. • Demonstrate minimum product knowledge of DX & air‑side equipment, VRF systems, and chillers.
