About the Role
You will perform complex field engineering assignments, overseeing the development, execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical aspects of construction projects. Responsibilities include first‑level quality assurance, ensuring installations meet plans, specifications, and industry standards, supervising engineering work, coordinating tests and inspections, and maintaining safety standards on site. You will liaise with design engineers, review and interpret drawings, resolve technical issues, develop construction schedules, monitor material procurement, and compile data for final project turnover. • Lead and supervise complex field engineering and construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and industry standards. • Perform quality assurance, testing, inspections, and documentation in accordance with approved procedures. • Coordinate safety measures, hazard mitigation, and compliance with site‑specific safety standards. • Liaise with design engineers, review drawings, resolve technical issues, and develop discipline construction schedules. • Monitor material procurement and deliveries to ensure specifications are met and schedule is maintained. • Prepare progress reports and support final project turnover documentation.

What You Bring
Parsons is seeking a talented Construction Supervisor (Ministry Representative contract administrator) for our team in Smithers, BC. In this role you will work on infrastructure and construction services projects across Western Canada, contributing to the delivery of critical infrastructure. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a construction‑related field, or equivalent experience, plus at least five years of field construction experience. Experience on large civil/structural or industrial projects is preferred, and the role may require working at remote construction sites as project needs dictate. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of field construction. • Experience with large civil/structural or industrial projects and ability to work remote construction sites.
