About the Role

The Contracts/Commercial Manager (Corporate) in Dubai will manage all contracts and commercial activities for a major market segment, working closely with project managers and directors on business development, pre‑contract commercial work, and post‑contract support. This role supports fee proposals, strategic planning, sub‑consultancy agreements, variation orders, procurement of bonds and insurances, and ensures timely invoicing and client payments. • Prepare consultancy fee proposals and support submission documentation. • Participate in strategic planning activities such as risk assessment and bid/no‑bid analysis. • Coordinate finalization of sub‑consultancy agreements with the legal team. • Identify and submit potential variation orders (VOs) with associated fee proposals. • Monitor VOs and liaise with clients to secure approvals. • Assist project managers in procuring performance bonds and insurance for new projects. • Handle post‑tender clarifications and qualifications in coordination with PMs, legal, and clients. • Review new contracts received from clients and facilitate resolution of comments with legal counsel. • Lead technical submission assessments with input from construction, planning, and design teams. • Manage contractual correspondence, including challenges to client variation rejections. • Follow up with project managers to ensure on‑time invoicing and with clients for invoice payment. • Review requests for proposals to identify risks and non‑conforming contractual terms. • Negotiate complex or sensitive issues with clients.

What You Bring

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying. • Minimum 20 years of contract administration/management experience in a large international consultancy. • Proven ability to analyze contract variations, claims, and draft written correspondence. • Experience in pre‑award contract management, especially design/build contracts. • At least 5 years of contracts management experience within Dubai/UAE. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. • Strong understanding of construction contract documents, engineering drawings, and specifications. • Proficiency with contracts‑management software. • Chartered status with RICS, CIArb, or a similar international body (desired). • Experience with FIDIC contracts (desired). • Background in providing internal and external advisory services for consultants (desired). • Ability to work autonomously.
