About the Role

Build your clean energy career in one of the largest demand response teams in the country! Con Edison’s demand response team is hiring a Software Project Manager. The team manages dispatchable distributed energy resources at customer facilities to reduce grid demand on the hottest days of the year. The Project Manager will have full responsibility for delivering the Demand Response Management Systems (DRMS) functionality needed to run the company’s demand response programs. The role includes oversight of requirements gathering, managing external software development vendors and system integrators, and testing and integrating the DRMS vendor’s software. It also involves controlling the project scope and budget for the DRMS initiative. Recent scalability enhancements expanded the software’s capability from 3,000 to over 100,000 customers, and a three‑year roadmap plans more than $20 M in investments. The manager will lead all modifications and enhancements while collaborating with Demand Response Operations and Strategy Managers. • Manage delivery of DRMS functionality for demand response programs. • Lead requirements gathering and coordinate external software development vendor and system integrator. • Oversee testing, integration, and scalability enhancements of DRMS software. • Control project scope, budget, and timeline for a $20 M three‑year roadmap. • Drive modifications and enhancements to support growth from 3,000 to over 100,000 customers. • Collaborate with Demand Response Operations and Strategy Managers.
