About the Role
In this role you will support all phases of utility construction for telecom projects, including installing and repairing aerial CATV, coaxial, and fiber cable, placing and relocating poles and lines, and maintaining efficient operation of customer facilities. You will set up safety perimeters, review project plans and specifications, direct on‑site crew activities, complete required documentation, and coordinate schedules and deliveries. • Install and repair aerial CATV, coaxial, and fiber cable. • Place, relocate, and remove poles and lines; handle open‑wire, drop, and block wire. • Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and barriers. • Review project plans and specifications to ensure design compliance. • Direct on‑site crew activities and act as lead for in‑house teams. • Complete required documentation and record crew time. • Communicate with the Area Supervisor/Manager and coordinate daily schedules and deliveries. • Oversee productivity of the aerial crew.

What You Bring
Candidates should have at least three years of experience in telecommunications construction, with knowledge of coax and fiber splicing, directional drilling, and aerial/underground work. Safety certifications such as OSHA 10, CPR, and flagging are required, along with the ability to operate a bucket truck, lift 70 lb, climb up to 35 ft, and read work orders and cable prints. Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and mentoring skills are essential. • Minimum 3 years experience in telecommunications construction (coax/fiber splicing, directional drilling, aerial/underground work). • OSHA 10, CPR, and flagging certifications; knowledge of OSHA safety requirements. • Ability to operate a bucket truck, lift 70 lb, and climb up to 35 ft. • Strong understanding of CATV building practices and CTV/Aerial field equipment. • Proven leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills. • Capability to read work orders and cable prints; available for on‑call work including evenings/weekends. • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and in fast‑paced environments.
