About the Role

The Fiber Splicer is responsible for producing end‑to‑end fiber optic networks, testing and troubleshooting continuity, operating testing equipment, preparing splice enclosures, utilizing fusion splicers and OTDR tools, applying fiber design knowledge, and working on outdoor utility construction sites. • Test and troubleshoot fiber optic network continuity. • Operate testing equipment including OTDR, OLTS, power meters, and DWDM/CWDM systems. • Prepare fiber splice enclosures such as Tyco, CommScope, and Corning. • Use fusion splicer to join fibers. • Apply fiber design knowledge, read documentation, and assess light levels and dB loss. • Perform work on outdoor utility construction sites. • Maintain safety as a daily priority.
