About the Role

Reporting to the Sanitation and Waste Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of direct labour services in accordance with contractual obligations by managing an operational delivery team. You’ll be responsible for several key activities including: • Supervise mobile and foot orderlies and mechanical sweepers to keep assets and hard surfaces clean, washed and litter‑free. • Rostering, delegate duties and handle administrative tasks as needed. • Process timesheets, ensuring they are checked and match employee reports. • Respond to customer complaints and compliments. • Ensure correct maintenance and operation of all equipment, vehicles and mobile plant. • Manage all vehicle incidents and overspeed incidents. • Maintain tidy storerooms, stock them appropriately and record allocations. • Coach and mentor staff to achieve optimal outcomes for the business and clients. • Conduct toolbox talks and training sessions, encouraging feedback on new ways of working.

What You Bring

• Hold a tertiary qualification related to sanitation or waste management services. • Demonstrate strong experience leading and managing labour teams, with interpersonal skills to train, coach and develop members. • Possess previous experience managing the operation of plant and equipment. • Hold a full NZ driver’s licence. • Show strong understanding of health and safety, hazard and risk management. • Willing and able to work a rotating 7‑day roster covering evenings and weekends.
