About the Role

Interns will support a variety of engineering tasks, learn basic architectural principles, and assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis. Additional duties include preparing final design plans, special provisions, cost estimates, maintaining project documentation, completing assigned training, and exercising responsible, ethical decision‑making in line with WSP’s Code of Conduct. • Support engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills • Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis • Prepare final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates • Collect and maintain project documentation • Complete training on assigned tasks • Exercise responsible, ethical decision‑making in line with WSP’s Code of Conduct • Follow direction from leadership, mentors, and managers • Maintain workplace safety and comply with health, safety, and conduct policies

What You Bring

The Transportation Facilities Group is seeking a full‑time Architectural Intern for its New York City office. The role is temporary and intended for individuals currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program. Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited Architecture or related undergraduate/graduate program with an anticipated graduation of May 2027 or later, be at least 18 years old, and authorized to work in the United States. They should demonstrate a strong interest in architecture, possess solid interpersonal and communication skills, be capable of following direction, and have basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, spreadsheets, and related tools. A proven record of workplace safety and adherence to WSP’s health, safety, and conduct policies is required. • Learn basic principles of architecture • Actively enrolled in an accredited Architecture or related program, graduating May 2027 or later • Be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States • Communicate effectively with engineering and non‑engineering audiences • Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, spreadsheets, and tools • Preferred: enrolled in a master’s or PhD program in architecture or related field • Preferred: prior internship experience and campus leadership involvement
