About the Role
• Strategise, bid and win new business opportunities, including tendering, off‑market proposals and expansions, and lead preparation, review and submission of proposals. • Lead and collaborate with operational and functional teams to identify opportunities, manage tender and proposal submissions, and ensure governance, win themes, risk management and resource loading are best in class. • Conduct risk assessment and management of commercial, financial, legislative and resource risks associated with tenders. • Maintain acute awareness of market influences and strategically respond to macro‑economic, social and geopolitical risks when tendering. • Participate in a rewarding Wellness Program with AIA Vitality, offering benefits such as cashback for gym shoes.

What You Bring
The company is hiring an experienced Bid Manager for its pre‑contracts team, focusing on power and water infrastructure projects. The role involves managing high‑quality proposals, steering tender processes and ensuring alignment with the utilities strategic plan. The successful candidate will coordinate cross‑functional teams, assess commercial and technical risks, and drive win strategies. As part of recruitment, candidates may undergo background, police, medical, drug and alcohol, right‑to‑work and reference checks. UGL does not discriminate based on a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check. • Hold formal qualifications in engineering, business or project management with experience in tendering, business development, procurement, estimating, risk and project controls. • Possess strong knowledge of power, water and energy sectors or demonstrate ability to quickly learn new sectors. • Demonstrate exceptional influencing, communication and proposal writing skills, including facilitation and presentations.
