About the Role

• Operate wheel hoe and other grading equipment to perform grading and fine‑grading tasks in varied terrain. • Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and daily pre‑ and post‑inspection documentation per company policy. • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA/MSHA/environmental regulations. • Use mechanic’s hand tools, tape measure, and operate equipment using both hands and feet simultaneously.

What You Bring

The company is seeking an experienced Wheel Hoe “Finish Grade” Operator for its Huntsville, Alabama/North Alabama operations, reporting to the General Manager of Construction & Superintendent. The role involves leading safety, quality, and revenue generation across existing and expanding operations. • Backfill and finish grade to specifications in tight, hard‑to‑reach areas near utilities and curbing. • Communicate effectively on‑site and understand grade stakes, signals, and equipment alarms. • Maintain at least 2–3 years of finish‑grading experience; GPS control experience preferred. • Possess a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation. • Work safely at all times and be willing to work overtime, weekends, and night shifts as needed. • Demonstrate physical ability to lift up to 100 lb, crawl, climb, and operate in noisy, outdoor conditions. • Remain drug‑free, pass pre‑employment drug screening, and provide required I‑9 documentation.
