About the Role

In this role you will lead complex engineering tasks, perform design and analysis for bridge rehabilitations, replacements, rail and transit structures, tolling gantries, tunnels, and airport facilities, and develop detailed drawings and specifications for procurement and construction. • Complete assignments such as drawings and specifications for procurement and construction using CAE/CAD tools. • Prepare engineering computations, material takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and geometric designs. • Implement project designs with design software and CAE/CAD applications. • Review supplier drawing submittals and perform quantity calculations for bid analysis. • Develop engineering products that meet customer quality requirements under supervision. • Produce construction‑related plans and documents for design/build projects and perform fieldwork as needed. • Provide support for additional engineering activities.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or a related field) with at least eight years of relevant experience, and may need an Engineer‑in‑Training certificate or a Professional Engineer licence. Proficiency with bridge design, CAE and CAD tools such as MicroStation or AutoCAD is required. Additional expertise in 3‑D finite‑element software (e.g., CSI Bridge, LARSA 4D), steel and concrete bridge design, suspension bridge analysis, and familiarity with Canadian or U.S. bridge design codes are highly valued. The position is part of the Critical Infrastructure team that designs and delivers projects that enhance mobility, sustainability, and community resilience. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) with 8+ years of experience. • Possess an Engineer‑in‑Training certificate and/or Professional Engineer licence as required. • Proficient in bridge design software, CAE, and CAD (MicroStation, AutoCAD). • Experienced with 3‑D finite‑element software such as CSI Bridge or LARSA 4D. • Skilled in steel and concrete bridge design. • Knowledgeable in suspension bridge analysis and design. • Familiar with Canadian and/or US bridge design codes.
