About the Role

The primary purpose of the position is to prospect, develop relationships with customers, and acquire new business for Constellation’s energy solutions. At the associate level, the professional cultivates relationships with Fortune 500 companies, creates and presents customized energy plans, and closes sales transactions. They assess customers’ business objectives and price risk tolerances to design hedging strategies that align with client needs. The role also drives sales of power, gas, and alternative‑energy products such as demand response, solar, and energy efficiency to meet gross‑margin quotas, and supports team coaching while embodying Constellation’s core values. Business Development Managers identify and engage high‑level decision makers, maintain Fortune 500 client relationships, and deliver compelling presentations that lead to closed deals. They possess strong public‑speaking abilities, attend in‑person trainings and meetings, and collaborate with internal resources to develop tailored energy‑hedging strategies. What You Bring

This territory‑based field sales role supports clients in Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee and can be performed from home, provided the candidate resides in one of those states, preferably near Louisville, Indianapolis, or Nashville. Up to 75 % travel within the territory is required, with occasional overnight trips, and travel expenses are reimbursed per Constellation’s policy. Associate candidates need a bachelor’s degree (or six years of equivalent experience) plus two years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Business Development Manager candidates require a bachelor’s degree (or nine years of equivalent experience) and five years of sales experience, a broad network of business and government contacts, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred qualifications include B2B sales experience, especially in electric, nuclear, gas, demand‑response, solar, or energy‑efficiency products, a proven record of meeting sales KPIs, and a passion for generating leads and growing business in the Kentucky, Indiana, or Tennessee markets. • Communicate effectively to large audiences and high‑level decision makers. • Possess a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 2–5 years of relevant sales experience.
