About the Role
• Perform new construction, maintenance, and repair of energized and de‑energized transmission lines safely. • Lead crew members in the foreman's absence. • String overhead wire and set poles/anchors. • Troubleshoot transmission system problems. • Operate hot‑stick equipment and perform energized line work. • Conduct digger derrick operations, pole/tower climbing, and heavy lifting/rigging. • Install and remove mechanical jumpers and PPE; inspect rubber goods. • Plan work based on job prints or work orders and conduct pre‑job/tailgate briefings. • Execute basic bucket rescue/escape and follow flag and tag procedures. • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition. • Travel to various locations, including out‑of‑state, on short notice. • Adhere to company safety rules, grounding procedures, and minimum approach distances.

What You Bring
The Class A Lineman Transmission handles construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical transmission systems at various locations and may travel interstate according to customer demands. The role requires safe work on energized and de‑energized transmission lines, leading crews when needed, stringing overhead wire, setting poles and anchors, troubleshooting, and performing a wide range of specialized tasks such as hot‑stick work, rigging, pole climbing, and reconductoring. Candidates must have at least five years of recent field experience, be able to obtain a CDL permit within 60 days, lift over 50 lb, travel long distances on short notice, and be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays while adhering to all safety rules and company policies. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, climbing, heavy lifting, and exposure to outdoor weather and occasional atmospheric hazards such as dust or fumes; the work environment is non‑office and may involve confined spaces and heights. • Sag and phase wires correctly using phasing sticks. • Lift over 50 lb and work in inclement weather and confined spaces. • Obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment. • Demonstrate self‑motivation, teamwork, customer focus, communication, and ethical conduct.
