About the Role
Essential duties include operating the vehicle according to OSHA, DOT and company standards, keeping the truck clean and safe, and performing pre‑ and post‑trip inspections with a Driver Vehicle Inspection Report. Drivers must report unsafe situations, incidents or service calls promptly to the Operations Manager or Dispatch, and cooperate in scheduled training, briefings and meetings. They work with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency, assist other drivers as needed, and communicate customer requests or issues to dispatch. During each route drivers must fully dump containers, leave the site free of debris, position containers upright with lids replaced, and ensure they do not block driveways or traffic. They also complete and submit customer tickets for excess yardage, follow route assignments, and finalize all required documentation at the end of the day. • Operate a heavy‑duty truck safely on assigned transfer routes in compliance with OSHA, DOT and company policies. • Conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report and report any issues. • Immediately notify the Operations Manager or Dispatch of unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents or service calls. • Communicate customer requests, blocked containers, missed pick‑ups and other route issues to Dispatch/Operations. • Dump containers, clean the site, and position containers upright with lids secured, avoiding obstruction of driveways. • Complete all required paperwork, tickets and end‑of‑day documentation accurately.

Qualifications: No formal education or prior experience is required, but a valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) and a minimum age of 18 are mandatory. Applicants must successfully complete a pre‑employment DOT drug screen, physical examination, background check, and motor‑vehicle record review, and maintain an acceptable driving record.
