Job Highlights
About the Role
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end load lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclable containers to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities. The role encompasses residential, commercial, and roll‑off routes, requiring skilled backing maneuvers in various environments. • Operate vehicle in compliance with WM Safety, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and complete DVIR documentation. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or service interruptions to Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Attend required trainings, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and best practices. • Communicate customer requests and ensure dump sites are clean and free of debris. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and check‑out procedures. • Assist other drivers as needed to meet customer needs.

What You Bring
The job involves regular physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, and handling, as well as communication and hearing tasks, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. • Required: Minimum 1 year driving experience with a CDL (Class A or B with air‑brake endorsement) or equivalent military driving within the past 7 years; at least 18 years old; legal eligibility to work. • Preferred: High School Diploma or GED. • Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing.
